Summer Program

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:

We are excited to announce that for the month of July our doors will open 3 days a week for our 2023 Summer Program.  The focus of this summer programming is to add some fun, structure, and learning to our students' summer so they will return in the fall ready to re engage in school activities.  We are also inviting our incoming 9th graders and other recent referrals to learn the building, try out some of our activities, and get to know our staff and students before the start of the school year.  We will be working closely with Vermont Adaptive on Wednesdays with options such as paddle boarding, mountain biking, kayaking and so much more.  As a team we will use this time to improve our school with projects such as gardening, creating artwork for the school, building a chicken coop, and lots of summer barbecuing.  These activities will follow our project based learning curriculum and students have the opportunity to earn credits towards subjects like physical education, electives, math, and even community service.

We will have teachers and special educators available to anyone who would like to use this time for academics as well.  Our Youth Employment Specialist, Nashanda, will be on site to support students who wish to do career exploration activities and/or get support for summer employment.

This is the schedule for the 2023 SEA Summer Program:

July 11th through August 3rd - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (8:00 - 1:00 Daily)
